Some people think the Speedy 30 is too big, but for me--it's just right! I also usually even throw in a couple of sippy cups in addition to all of this. Ok, what's in my purse? We have:
1. Extra diapers just in case (can't wait until my little one is potty trained, that will be commencing soon!)
2. Two packs of goldfish, because they both want what the other has
3. Two bunny sticker books (these are great for helping my kids make friends! haha)
4. Infant Motrin drops. Thankfully neither of my children have had a fever since last May, but baby Motrin is the WONDER drug, I carry it at all times just in case.
5. A mini-flashlight (????) I have absolutely no idea why this in my purse
6. Kashi pumpkin spice flax bars--never leave home without one!
7. a pair of baby socks (again ???? no idea), but at least it's a pair, lol
8. Some child chopsticks, because you never know when your two and three year old will need to use chopsticks to eat. Right.
9. Not one, but two children's accessories--a necklace and bracelet (both Crewcuts) because you never know when your three year old will have the sudden urge to accessorize. No, the more likely scenario is that she got sick of them and handed them to me to hold. Better that than what she did on Thursday-gave her bracelet to the barrista at Starbucks. Oy.
10. shiny gold wallet from the Gap (my daughter has a matching one)
11. my business cards and card holder, I think I've handed out a grand total of one.
12. Ten bucks and a boatload of quarters so my kids can ride the rides in the mall.
13. $5 sunglasses, because I just don't bother with fancy sunnies at this point in my life.
And my make-up bag makes equally no sense:
three lotions, one lipliner, three lipsticks and four glosses. Not one mirror or powder!!
We celebrated my son's 2nd birthday this past week--here is my quick OOTD from that.
with cardigan
without...
J. Crew top
Gap Jeans
Old Navy wedges (seen in this post)
Forever 21 necklace (won from Strawberry Swings giveaway)
His second birthday also meant his first haircut! He went from baby to boy in an instant :(
But at least now the absence of his bouncy dirty blonde curls will {hopefully} stop strange ladies in Target from calling him "Princess."
Wanna share what's in your purse?? I hope everyone has a lovely weekend!!

Lovely pics with your son! I love big bags too & put everything in it, items that I don't even use, I can't begin to tell you how many lipglosses I have in there & I never rarely reapply:) Other items include; eye drops, hand cream, aside from lipglosses also lipbalm, cell, lots of pens, and my vitamins/omega3's. Whew!
ReplyDeleteWow, you ready?
ReplyDeleteWallet, personal checkbook. checkbook for law firm, checkbook for Reef Botanicals business, old winning scratch-off lottery tickets I haven't cashed in (several years later), business cards for my law firm, business cards for Reef Botanicals, business cards for my face painting business (those 3 all in separate holders), other people's business cards (like my sister's vet hospital, my mother's consignment shop, and my friend's construction company), a digital photo album, BC pills, body butter, compact mirror, lip gloss (x3), a digital camera, a huge clump of house & office keys, keychains, and all of my store "club" cards, another set of keychains for my car keys, some restaurant discount coupons, a lint brush, Sudafed, a tampon, matches, a small notebook, a keepsake folder for flattened souvenir pennies, Listerine mint strips, a flash drive, claim check for the cleaners, my cat's prescription, a pen, and a pair of custom vampire fangs.
Beat that!
This was actually a lot of fun! I always love seeing posts like this. I think since I am camping on the floor with our dog that I may have to do this...because right now my purse looks CRAZY!
ReplyDeleteTruely the bag of a busy mom! I personally like the size of the speedy 30...gotta carry all your important 'stuff' right?? I know how you feel about the potty training, I'm tired of carrying wipes and diapers but I've still got a ways to go. I've given up on carrying a diaper bag long ago, I just throw bottles/sippy cups, snacks, and the kitchen sink all right in there!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, maybe I feel a new blog post coming on myself!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments!! :)
ReplyDeleteMy purse always is chock full of papers.. from Soduku to receipts. lol..
Great post. I like your bag!
xx
I love the 2 bags of gold fish and socks! I just switched bags, so I don't have a lot of random stuff in it yet. But my old purse had a ton of papers - car rental slips (work travel), socks (for the plane), a nail file, a wallet, earrings, 3 glosses, 6 lip sticks, hand lotion, memory card, granola bar, keys, coupons, a bottle of water:)
ReplyDeleteHahaha, your purse is like mine with lots of kid's stuff ;) Busy moms on the go!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your son's 2nd birthday :) ♥ He's so adorable!! Love your outfit! Super cute top! - And your necklace just makes any outfit look so cute and dressed-up!
Inspired by you I have now actually purchased a necklace! lol You'll see it soon ;)

ReplyDeleteYour bag is very practical! I mean a mini flashlight? C'mon that's just smart Andi!
I love your outfit too, that top is so perfect for Spring/Summer.
love me some CeraVe. I wish I still had lotion in My Doctors sample one. I gave up trying to squeeze the very.last.bit out. lol. I actually got another small lotion bottle though and refilled it with CeraVe for to-go in my purse. lol
ReplyDeleteI used to have a mini-flashlight too...also no idea why and it didn't even work!
Such a cute idea. I think I may be playing along soon. Love it!
ReplyDelete@Monica-I would love to see a purse post from you! We really do depend on our bags so much don't we? They're so much more than just purses!!
ReplyDelete@Larissa-you definitely have me beat! But again prove the point that handbags are a very important aspect of a woman's life! :) And um, a pair of custom vampire fangs? I think that needs further explanation!

I love your outfit you look so tall and skinnny!
Happy Birthday, B/H! How you make a relatively simple outfit look stunning is beyond me. Also, hearing that you're wearing the $5 sunglasses reaffirms my faith in humanity. I just posted on my blog about how I can't even wear sunglasses anymore. . .sigh.
ReplyDeletexoxo
Awww Andi I love the last picture!
ReplyDeleteI am laughing at the flashlight, but hey thats practical!
And especially giggling at the childrens' chopsticks. LOL

LOL, Andi, I'm infatuated with vampires, I'm in community theater, I'll take any opportunity to dress in costume, and Halloween is my favorite holiday. Plus, I'm a face painter and do body painting at some pretty odd events. So at one of those, an old boyfriend commissioned me a pair of fangs from a fangsmith (there's a new word for you!) there, made from dental acrylic to fit right onto my teeth & pop right off again.
ReplyDeleteThey were my Valentine's Day present that year!
But then... I'm also the type who asked for a Nosferatu candle sconce for my birthday one year, and as my mother was paying for it, she was saying, "I hate that you're weird..."
LOL
I keep the fangs with me because you never know when it'll be fun to pull them out and have some fun with people. :D
I know you already received it, but I nominated you for the Sunshine Award. I really enjoy your blog!

Love what's in your bag! What mamma doesn't have extras of everything? It's so great when they are out of the baby bag stage and you can just carry a big purse. 'Ode to the big purse carrying Mommies!

@FashionSeen-thank you! I only lose my mind :)

What a great idea! I'm using two different purses right now so might not be a good time to do it myself. LOL. Total disaster.
