We had a glorious weekend weather-wise, it was so nice to finally be able to enjoy the outdoors without having to wear layers and layers of clothes and closed-toe shoes.
It's no secret that I adore stripes, so when I spotted this chevron maxi-skirt at Forever 21 a few weeks ago, I snapped it up. I think it's great a great addition to my closet. I've been playing around with it a bit and it works equally well dressed up or a bit more casual with flat sandals.
Here's how I wore it to brunch on the beach:
shrunken blazer: Gap, white t: BCBG, belt: Express, skirt: F21 (buy it here), necklace: Vintage (purchased at Glam Vintage), bracelets: gifted
some accessory love
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, Happy Monday!

Love the skirt and LOVE the belt!
ReplyDeleteThanks Allison! That belt dresses everything up, it comes in quite handy
ReplyDeleteOMG Aazing! I love the belt and the stripes!!
ReplyDeleteLuv, luv, luv that belt. What a stunner, as is the rest of your outfit! Thanks so much for the inspiration Andi!
ReplyDeleteI really like the wedges!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I love the chevron, much more flattering on the lower half than regular horizontal or even vertical stripes. I must find a maxi dress or skirt this year! That's still on my wishlist =)
ReplyDeleteI just wore this same skirt, too! I really like the way you wore it with the blazer. The chevrons are what sold it for me. That, and the fact it was under $20!

ReplyDeleteMelissa, are the FS wedges you have current?
V-thank you, this belt is so good for adding interest and some glam to basically any outfit. It's come it very handy with some dresses I have. It's still available at Express.
Lilly, this skirt would be great on you since you're so slim, it's so comfy. I'm planning to wear it on a trip out of town here soon. I hope you can still find it around if you want it.
That's a great skirt! Looks so much more expensive than F21. Good find!

Thanks Leslie!
ReplyDeleteMeg-you are so right, I hadn't even noticed, but I do wear a. lot. of gold, lol
Not sure if that skirt is still available, but I noticed it lingering. I got it early, thinking it would sell out. Glad I did. I didn't think of gold w/it. I'll have to keep that in mind. I'm thinking I can wear it this fall, as you have w/a blazer.
ReplyDeleteLove the stripes skirt and the total look and style.Very trendy and light for the season that you are wearing yet very smart.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know you had it too Gigi-awesome! I like the length too, not too long for those of us on the shorter side :)
