OOTD: Spring Stripes

We had a glorious weekend weather-wise, it was so nice to finally be able to enjoy the outdoors without having to wear layers and layers of clothes and closed-toe shoes.

It's no secret that I adore stripes, so when I spotted this chevron maxi-skirt at Forever 21 a few weeks ago, I snapped it up. I think it's great a great addition to my closet. I've been playing around with it a bit and it works equally well dressed up or a bit more casual with flat sandals.

Here's how I wore it to brunch on the beach:
shrunken blazer: Gap, white t: BCBG, belt: Express, skirt: F21 (buy it here), necklace: Vintage (purchased at Glam Vintage), bracelets: gifted
some accessory love

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, Happy Monday!

  5. Gorgeous! I love the chevron, much more flattering on the lower half than regular horizontal or even vertical stripes. I must find a maxi dress or skirt this year! That's still on my wishlist =)

  6. I just wore this same skirt, too! I really like the way you wore it with the blazer. The chevrons are what sold it for me. That, and the fact it was under $20!

Lilly, this skirt would be great on you since you're so slim, it's so comfy. I'm planning to wear it on a trip out of town here soon. I hope you can still find it around if you want it.

  17. Not sure if that skirt is still available, but I noticed it lingering. I got it early, thinking it would sell out. Glad I did. I didn't think of gold w/it. I'll have to keep that in mind. I'm thinking I can wear it this fall, as you have w/a blazer.
