I hope you all enjoyed a happy and safe Halloween yesterday and are doing well. Since Sephora's friends & family sale ends tomorrow, I thought I would share my purchases today.

Here are my make-up purchases from Sephora:
I purchased the Dior Addict Lip Maximizer in Sheer Pink on the recommendation of the gorgeous Jenny. I used it for the first time this morning and have to admit I'm feeling pretty Jolie-ish right now. The bronzer (in Glint and Burnish) from Illamasqua is a repurchase for me--it's my favorite bronzer I've used to date. I've heard so many good things about Benefit's They're Real mascara, I can't wait to try it! I've been using this BB cream by Dr. Jart for about a week now and am pretty much in love with it, I will do a full review after I've used it longer, but so far--I'm smitten.

I've been hearing a lot of excellent reviews about nails inc. products. The base and top coats are supposed to be super long-lasting, so I'm hoping they live up to the hype. I also picked up a really pretty shimmery red polish--New Year's Redsolution and a light purple--Make the First Mauve.
Sephora skincare purchases
I finally bought the Fresh sugar lip treatment that everyone raves about. I'm hoping it keeps nasty chapping at bay during the colder months. And I pulled the trigger on Lancome's Visionnaire based on Shan's glowing reviews. Again, I've only been using it for about a week, but all signs point to it becoming a HG product for me. More even skin tone? Check. Reduction in sun and aging spots? Check. Soft, glowing skin? Check. Yeah, I pretty much love this stuff.
For fragrance, I purchased Burberry's The Beat to add to my growing collection of Burberry fragrances. I really love pretty much all of them. The Beat is a nice blend of fruity, soft and fresh. I've been wearing it like crazy lately.
Ulta purchases
Nothing too exciting here--just repurchases of some of my HG products: L'Oreal Superior Preference hair color to cover my grays, Kinerase Ultimate Night Moisturizer, Paul Mitchell Quick Slip, Revlon Just Bitten lipstain in Forbidden and the Basically U super blender elliptical sponge (a super steal at $4.99!)

ReplyDeleteElla-try that gloss, I hope you like it! I really think it does make a difference. I also tried the Clinique BB cream, but I prefer the Dr. Jart. It's better with my skin tone, I like the texture and finish more and imo, it lasts longer. The Clinique version was a little lighter on my skin tone, so it may be perfect for those who have lighter skin though.
Thanks Noelle-I'm trying the mascara out tomorrow. I've heard nothing but good things so I'm hoping it's awesome. I will definitely posts rants and raves later. I'm really LOVING Visionnaire though, I can tell that already! haha

ReplyDeleteHi, i have been on a sephora ban lately (due to dwindling funds and saving for xmas) so I'm shopping vicariously through you. I am curious to hear what you think of the 'i'm real' mascara- i've heard nothing but good things as well. I have the Fresh lip treatment and it's really good. Smells like you want to eat it :)

I love They're Real. You already have great lashes, so I think you'll love. I'm with you on The Beat. Very fresh & pretty. I haven't shopped the F&F w/Sephora. I have a 20% coupon they sent me so I'll hit it then. Always love seeing your recs!!!

ReplyDeletethis is definitely what you call a haul ;) I've actually been itching to try Fresh's Sugar Lip treatments, I'm hoping to grab it soon! The Benefit mascara also looks intriguing, please be sure to share your experience! So far I'm sticking to my good old Max Factor and L'Oreal mascaras ;)
